Filed under: Noisiness. — Nikki @ 4:11 pm

Since thise new show has started airing this fall, I am now up late every Monday night cleaning my house. Why? Because I watched this new show on A&E called Hoarders. After the show is over I have a complulsive need to clean my house.
All joking aside, you can see the human aspect of this mental illness. Some of these people use the clutter in their lives to document live. Each piece of clutter is very valuable to therse people. Almost more important than friends and family.

Man Offers to name son “Batman” for 500,000 Facebook fans

Filed under: Noisiness. — Nikki @ 9:08 pm

One of the fastest growing Facebook Pages over the past couple weeks was a page developed by KZ Entertainment to entice users to fan the page in order to get the admin to name his son “Batman”. It’s not a completely original tactic as it has been used with varying degrees of success in the past, especially within Facebook groups. The real question though is whether or not this individual should be able to create a Facebook Page which is aimed at promoting a media company rather than accomplishing a legitimate goal.Currently, Facebook arbitrarily disables publishing features of generic pages based on the number of fans they have as well as the topic that they’ve been created for. While this individual page may have been developed in order to rally people around naming a baby batman, it has been used for nothing other than promoting the KZ Entertainment website. The strategy has worked and the goal of 500,000 fans will most likely be hit later today. What’s strange is that the company which is administering the Facebook Page is acting as though they randomly stumbled upon this page. There have been numerous individuals who have attempted to create portfolios of Facebook Pages made up of jokes in order to attract a network of fans and increase their overall promotional capacity. Normally I would say that this isn’t that big of a deal but it highlights how arbitrary Facebook’s terms of service implementation really is.Enough about this being a terms violation though. The real question now is whether or not the Facebook Page administrators will actually post the birth certificate of the new baby. Currently the company is encouraging users to enter their email address in order to receive a copy of the birth certificate. However the page admins could just as easily post the photo to the Page feed. Do you think this Facebook Page is a funny joke or an unacceptable violation of Facebook’s terms?Check out the link here.

According to the website “this is really, really easy to do. (Note: you may be able to use this technique to grow other stuff in the form of a square ( actually in the form of a cube) and apply the general idea to other shapes.)”

A square watermellon looks pretty easy to accomplish…check out the link here.
